Our library, opened on September 10, 1993, was designated as a life-long education center in March 2000, and opened its digital resource center in February 2003, and it has to strive to be faithful to its roles as the center of culture for raising the quality of life and also as the center of information for transmission of knowledge and information in Chunan and Sunghwan.
In addition, it constructed a building for its resource center in 2016, and won the 2018 Korean Library Award and designated as the Outstanding Library by the Governor’s Certification System.
In order to adopt and live in the society of knowledge and information, of the 21st century, we need to develop the ability to continuously learn and obtain useful information more than anything, and the primary role of the library is to support local residents to enhance such ability.
We, the Chungcheongnam-do Cheonan’s Education Office Support Sunghwan Library, will continue its efforts as the center of life-long education and information exchange for local residents. We truly appreciate your affection and interest in our library.
